Welcome to the LUNARC Documentation

LUNARC is the high-performance computing (HPC) centre at Lund University, providing compute resources and support to researchers at Lund university. LUNARC is also a branch of NAISS providing support and training on a national level. The primary resource is the COSMOS cluster, running SLURM for job scheduling.

This documentation covers everything from first-time login to advanced job scripting. Use the tabs below to find the right starting point for you.

Before you begin

To access COSMOS you need an approved LUNARC account. If you do not have one yet, visit the LUNARC website to apply for a project allocation and a LUNARC account through SUPR.

Start here if you are setting up your account for the first time or have never used an HPC cluster before. Work through these in order:

1. Create your password

2. Set up two-factor authentication

3. Introduction to Linux

4. Log in to COSMOS

5. Using software modules

6. Run your first job
